 Legal Research Assistant

  • Conduct legal and policy research, in diverse areas of law (preferably, Human Rights, Humanitarian Law, Environmental Law, International Relations, and Diplomatic Studies).
  • Draft and publish articles, policy briefs, and reports in reputable journals.
  • Manage research institution’s projects, including program implementation and compliance with minimal or no supervision.
  • Develop proposals and secure grants for institutional operations.
  • Collaborate with international organizations, stakeholders, and other Research Institutions
  • Organize and coordinate online/offline programs, workshops, seminars, summits, and conferences.
  • Provide regular updates and content on blogs, website and media handles
  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with First Class or Second Class Upper. Other grades may still be considered provided you demonstrate cognate experience in Human Rights, Humanitarian Law, Environmental Law, International Relations, and Diplomatic Studies.
  • Master’s degree in Law or related fields is an added advantage.
  • Records of publications in reputable journals are desirable.
  • Proficiency in research and article writing. (You can provide evidence and you will be tested)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (this will be tested).
